Work Capacity Test used for most wildland fire incidents is the Pack Test. It is used to qualify individuals for the three levels of wildland firefighting duty: Arduous, Moderate, and Light. Injury Care EMS uses the Arduous Pack Test.
The Pack Test measures:
- Aerobic capacity
- Muscular Strength
- Muscular Endurance
